Let me tell you it’s not getting any easier! So I don’t have to many new symptoms to report nothing has really changed from 26 weeks to 27 weeks.
🎀 Still not sleeping
🎀 I literally feel like a whale
🎀 No clothing fits me NONE!
🎀 Baby girl moves like crazy
I feel so unprepared, honestly I feel like nothing is done and the time is ticking. My next doctors appointment is Monday. They did mention at my last appointment I’ll be getting all the 28 week pregnancy fun stuff. (More to come on that) I should also be getting my RhoGam shot due to being RH Negative. I also should be starting my non stress test soon due to being Gestational diabetic.
Happier note I believe this was our last monthly appointment, I do believe we will be starting bi weekly now. I’ll find out all these answers on Monday.
All I know is I haven’t seen this princess since I was almost 20 weeks I am so ready for another sonogram to see her again🎀

I totally get that feeling of 'no clothes fit me NONE!' – it's a common struggle as your beautiful bare belly expands. I've found comfort in maternity leggings and oversized shirts, but honestly, some days it feels like a fashion challenge! And those stretch marks? They're becoming a badge of honor, a testament to the incredible work your body is doing.
At 27 weeks pregnant, your baby is growing rapidly, putting on weight and developing those precious fat layers. Many moms, myself included, notice those powerful baby kicks becoming more frequent and distinctive. It's such an amazing feeling, even if sometimes it feels like they're hosting a dance party inside! For those wondering about baby at 27 weeks, they're often around the size of a head of cauliflower and starting to practice breathing movements.
The sleep struggles are real, too. Finding a comfortable position with a big pregnant belly can be a nightmare. I've heard pregnancy pillows are a lifesaver, and I'm definitely considering investing in one! Beyond the physical discomforts, there's often a mental shift around this time. Feeling unprepared, as mentioned, is so relatable. It feels like there's so much to do to get ready for the baby's arrival, from setting up the nursery (hello, tiny baby clothes!) to just mentally preparing for motherhood.
For those of us navigating specific medical conditions, like gestational diabetes or being RH-negative, this stage of pregnancy often brings more tests and appointments. Getting ready for a non-stress test or a RhoGam shot can add to the feeling of being overwhelmed, but remember, these are all crucial steps to ensure both you and your little one stay healthy. It's all part of the journey to meet your precious baby.
Looking back to earlier weeks, say 22 weeks pregnant or even 20 weeks pregnant, the symptoms might have felt different. Maybe your belly was just starting to show, or kicks were lighter flutters. Each week brings new changes, and it's fascinating to track how your body adapts. Even at 12 weeks pregnant, the excitement is palpable, but the physical demands are usually less intense. This third trimester really brings home the reality of impending parenthood!
It's common to start bi-weekly appointments around this time, which is both reassuring for monitoring and a sign of how close you are to your due date. If you're like me, you're probably counting down the days until your next sonogram to catch another glimpse of your little princess. Every scan is a reminder of the miracle happening inside. Hang in there, mamas – we're all in this together, embracing the wild ride of pregnancy!
