🍽️ Meals I Ate This Week to Build Muscle & Maintain My Weight with PCOS 💪🏾✨
One of the biggest things I’ve learned over the last two years is that maintenance doesn’t have to mean eating perfectly—it means eating consistently.
I don’t follow a restrictive meal plan, and I don’t avoid every food I enjoy. Instead, I focus on building meals around protein first, adding a quality carb, and filling the rest of my plate with foods I genuinely like.
Here’s what a few days of eating looked like this week!
🥣 Breakfast
Most mornings, I keep breakfast light but protein-packed. Depending on how hungry I am, I’ll have a Chobani Complete Protein Drink or Power Provisions Bone Broth Soup. They’re quick, satisfying, and help me start my day with protein without feeling overly full.
🥗 Lunch
I usually stick to a lighter lunch with lean protein and a carb. It’s enough to keep my energy up without leaving me sluggish, especially on workdays.
🍽️ Dinner
Dinner is where I enjoy my heartier meals. Whether it’s chicken with rice and plantains, steak with mashed potatoes and vegetables, or another balanced plate, I don’t believe I have to give up the foods I love to maintain my progress.
💪 What has worked for me?
✨ Prioritize protein at every meal.
✨ Eat mostly whole foods without obsessing over perfection.
✨ Track my macros so I know I’m fueling my body well.
✨ Leave room for flexibility instead of labeling foods as “good” or “bad.”
After losing 50+ lbs, I’ve learned that maintenance isn’t about eating less—it’s about eating enough of the right things to support my goals, build muscle, and feel my best while living with PCOS.
My meals aren’t fancy, but they’re realistic, satisfying, and something I can see myself eating for years—not just until I reach a goal.
💕 If you’re on a weight loss or body recomposition journey, remember this: You don’t have to eat perfectly. Focus on consistency, prioritize protein, and find a way of eating that you actually enjoy.
What’s one meal you never get tired of eating? I’d love some new high-protein meal ideas! 🍽️💙
