「アイシャドウ 劣化」で検索する時って、“まだ使える？”と“捨てどきはいつ？”がいちばん知りたいところだと思います。私も以前、アイシャドウ自体は見た目がきれいなのに、なぜかまぶたがムズムズしたり、発色が悪くなったりして原因がわからず…結果、古いアイシャドウ＋汚れたチップが原因っぽかったことがあります。 まずアイシャドウは、形状で劣化の出方が違います。 ・パウダー（単色/パレット）：比較的長持ちしやすいけど、表面に皮脂が乗ると劣化が早まる印象。 ・クリーム/スティック：空気に触れる面が多く、におい変化や分離が起きやすい。 ・リキッド：容器内で分離しやすいので、振っても戻らない時は要注意。 私が「これはもう無理」と判断する劣化サインはこのあたりです。 1) 粉質の変化：以前より粉っぽい／ざらつく／ムラになる。ラメが均一に乗らなくなる。 2) 色・ツヤの変化：くすむ、黄ばむ、ギラつき方が変。 3) におい：油っぽい・酸っぱい・クレヨンっぽいなど“いつもと違う”が出たらアウト。 4) 目元の違和感：しみる、かゆい、赤みが出る（特にまぶたは皮膚が薄いので即中止が安心）。 意外な盲点が、アイシャドウ本体よりも「道具の雑菌」です。パレット付属チップやブラシを洗わずに使い続けると、皮脂・汗・目元の細かい汚れがたまりやすくて、結果的に肌荒れにつながることも。私は週1でブラシを洗う（難しい週は拭き取りクリーナーだけでも）に変えたら、粉飛びや発色も戻ってきました。 パウダーアイシャドウの“延命”としてよく見る「表面を削る」は、やるなら最低限＆清潔に。ティッシュで強くこするより、清潔なスパチュラで薄く表面を取り除いて、ケースの粉を落としてから使う方が衛生的でした。ただし、におい変化や目の刺激がある場合は削っても戻らないので処分推奨です。 保管方法も劣化に直結します。洗面所の湿気、高温の車内、直射日光はできるだけ避けて、できれば引き出しやポーチ内でも“涼しく乾燥した場所”に移動。開封日を裏にメモしておくと迷いが減ります。 最後に、迷ったら「目元アイテムは安全優先」。アイシャドウは長く使えるイメージがありますが、少しでも違和感が出た時点で一旦やめて、新しいものに切り替えるだけで肌荒れが落ち着くこともありました。
