We tried the following dishes.
•
- London Peking Duck
The 12-condiment platter offers a wide variety of flavours and textures. My favourites were the orange peel and honeydew strips, adding an interesting twist beyond the usual condiments.
•
- Claypot Prawn & Squid with Garlic
Served bubbling hot in a claypot. The vermicelli absorbed all the seafood flavours and fragrant garlic sauce.
•
- Charcoal Grilled Iberico Pork Belly Char Siew
Tender and well-balanced with both lean and fatty meat. I especially enjoyed the generous char, which added a pleasant smoky flavour.
•
- Marmite Chicken with Crispy You Tiao & Ginger Flower
This reminded me of rojak with ingredients like you tiao and tau pok. The sauce was especially enjoyable.
•
- Bi Feng Tang Salted Egg Seafood Fried Rice
& Salted Egg Corn & Prawn
Both salted egg dishes were savoury, fragrant, and satisfying.
Visiting London Fat Duck at PLQ Mall truly exceeded my expectations, especially given its prime location right beside the MRT entrance, making it easily accessible for both casual visits and planned meals. One thing that stood out was their unique approach to the classic Peking duck, featuring a 12-condiment platter that not only offered traditional flavors but also creative additions like orange peel and honeydew strips. These unexpected condiments added refreshing bursts of citrus and sweetness that complemented the rich duck perfectly. The ambiance of the restaurant surprised me as well. Despite being next to a bustling walkway, the interior maintained a quiet and relaxing vibe, ideal for intimate dining or small gatherings. The partitioned rooms offered a sense of privacy which enhanced the overall experience, making it suitable for celebrations or business lunches. The Claypot Prawn and Squid with Garlic was another favorite. Served piping hot with vermicelli that soaked up every bit of the fragrant garlic sauce and seafood essence, it was comfort food at its best. The smoky Charcoal Grilled Iberico Pork Belly Char Siew was tender and richly flavored, the charred bits adding depth and a delightful smoky finish. I also appreciated the Marmite Chicken served with crispy you tiao and ginger flower, which reminded me of classic rojak—a local favorite. The sauce was tangy and addictive, perfectly tying the dish together with the crunchy accompaniments. Lastly, the salted egg dishes—the Bi Feng Tang Salted Egg Seafood Fried Rice along with Salted Egg Corn and Prawn—offered a satisfying savory richness and fragrance that rounded off the meal beautifully. Overall, London Fat Duck combines quality ingredients, inventive condiments, and a welcoming atmosphere, making it a must-visit for food lovers in the area. Whether you're craving traditional roasted duck or unique seafood-infused dishes, this restaurant delivers an enjoyable culinary adventure.
