He Sees Me — Even Here Rooted in Grace, Not Image

🕊️ “𝕎𝕙𝕖𝕟 𝕥𝕙𝕖 𝕀𝕕𝕠𝕝 𝕎𝕒𝕤𝕟'𝕥 𝕒 𝕊𝕥𝕒𝕥𝕦𝕖 — 𝙱𝚞𝚝 𝚊 𝚂𝚝𝚘𝚛𝚢 𝙸 𝚋𝚎𝚕𝚒𝚎𝚟𝚎𝚍 𝙰𝚋𝚘𝚞𝚝 𝙼𝚢𝚜𝚎𝚕𝚏”

Ezekiel 14:1–6

There was a night I couldn’t sleep.

Not because of noise, but because of the noise within.

The mirror had become a courtroom.

My healing? Too slow.

My appearance? Disappointing.

My heart whispered, “Al deserves better.”

And that’s when the Lord met me in Ezekiel.

He didn’t scold me.

He didn’t shame me.

He just… pointed. 👊🏻

To the throne of my heart.

And asked, ever so gently:

“𝑊ℎ𝑜'𝑠 𝑠𝑖𝑡𝑡𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑟𝑒 𝑟𝑖𝑔ℎ𝑡 𝑛𝑜𝑤?"

Because sometimes, idolatry isn’t a golden calf.

It’s the 𝚕𝚒𝚎 that says I must be more before I can

be loved fully.

It’s the 𝚏𝚎𝚊𝚛 that says I’m falling behind.

It’s the 𝚊𝚌𝚑𝚎 that says I’m not enough.

But God is not a tyrant.

He’s a King — our rightful one.

And He doesn’t share thrones.

So I whispered back, trembling,

“𝘑𝘦𝘴𝘶𝘴… 𝘠𝘦𝘴𝘩𝘶𝘢… 𝘪𝘧 𝘐'𝘷𝘦 𝘤𝘳𝘰𝘸𝘯𝘦𝘥 𝘢 𝘭𝘪𝘦, 𝘐 𝘳𝘦𝘱𝘦𝘯𝘵.”

Not out of shame.

But out of longing —

for Him to take His place again.

Even here.

Even in this body.

Even with this knee and these scars and this skin.

Because even if He doesn’t change what I see in the mirror today —

He’s still good.

And I’ll wait for the rain.

In the desert.

With Him.

... Read moreMany people struggle with self-image and inner turmoil, often feeling like their true worth is tied to external appearance or achievements. The concept of grace, especially as highlighted in biblical scripture such as Ezekiel 14:1–6, offers profound comfort and reassurance. This passage reminds us that God seeks to reign over our hearts, not our superficial identities or false idols we may crown in our minds. Idolatry in a modern context isn't just about physical statues but the lies and fears that tell us we must be more to be loved or accepted. This reflects deeply on common human experiences of insecurity and comparison. The truth that God is a gracious King who does not share His throne invites readers to surrender these destructive inner narratives. The article’s personal narrative—feeling like a trial in front of a mirror that becomes a courtroom—illustrates the universal struggle with self-judgment. Instead of condemnation, the divine response is invitation: Who is truly sitting on the throne of your heart? This question prompts a call to repentance, not from shame, but from a place of longing for genuine, unconditional love. The OCR content emphasizing "Some nights I sit in the dark and still feel seen" and "the Father never loses needed to know I was" (likely referring to "never loses need to know I was there") connects powerfully with the theme of being acknowledged and loved authentically, even in our brokenness or scars. For readers seeking inspiration on spiritual healing, overcoming self-doubt, and embracing identity rooted in grace rather than image, this reflection provides both emotional resonance and biblical grounding. Waiting for "the rain in the desert" symbolizes hope and renewal amid personal struggles—an enduring message for anyone feeling unseen or unworthy. In summary, this content explores relevant long-tail keywords such as "spiritual healing and self-acceptance," "Ezekiel 14 teaching on idolatry," "faith overcoming insecurity," and "God’s grace vs. self-image." Integrating these elements enhances content richness and authority, aligning with Google SEO’s standards and providing valuable, credible insights for search users.
