July Storygraph stats

Okay so July was a month for me. I started the month with my dad coming to town from Wyoming and my mom and sisters getting into a car accident. (my sister got a nose job) My friend had a baby who I will now be babysitting every week because he’s sweet. My mom got into a second car accident (She’s fine just annoyed) and I left the house multiple times to go to the movies. August is hopefully going to be good, I should find out if I’m moving soon. I am still weighing pros and cons. Pros: I have easier access to places to film tik toks and take “aesthetic” photos for here. Cons: Even farther from my mom and I have to learn how to cook for two not six.

Okay on to what you care about.

📚📚📚📚📚

My Rankings of books I read in July

12. Pounded by Produce,it wasn’t bad but it wasn’t great. It’s a parody novel about Veggie Tales it wasn’t going to be high on the list.

11. Howl’s Moving Castle, it also wasn’t bad. I think I expected the movie and that’s not what this was. I wanted more background on the scene in the movie where she tells him to find her in the future and in reality this book was its own thing.

10. Princess in the Spotlight, it’s just not the best of the Princess Diaries Books.

9. Legends and Lattes, I am still seeing this advertised as a “sapphic romance” when the romance is barely in the story at. The Epilogue was also 45 minutes long through the audiobook.

8. Caught Up, it was better than the first one but still felt like a vertical movie.

7. Princess in Love, I loved it just not as much as the first.

6. For Whom The Bell Tolls, I loved it I just wish it was more spaced out. 3 books about the same length so we could have a more balanced story.

5. Red Rain, it was really good I just felt the end cheapened the whole thing.

4. Princess Diaries, I love these books with all my heart but I want the top 3 books to not be rereads.

3. The Blonde Dies First, I guessed the twist way too early for my liking. But it was amazing

2. You’re Not Supposed to Die Tonight was great, the scares got me. I really liked this book and feel like it should get more hype.

1. Atmosphere wins so hard. Are you kidding me it was a masterpiece.

📚📚📚📚📚📚

Alright, this month’s goals are going to be “easy”

1.) A Historical novel, if you have any recommendations I will appreciate them.

2.) Finish The Princess Diaries Series

3.) I want a mystery novel

My number goal is to read 15 books

The only thing I see causing issues is I might be moving. We find out soon so put out good vibes.

Thanks for being amazing and reading this far. What have you read this month?

... Read moreJuly was a month full of personal events, affecting both daily life and reading habits. The author's narrative reveals a blend of life changes—such as family incidents and potential moving plans—and a passion for diverse literary genres. This context enriches the reading wrap-up by highlighting how life influences reading choices and goals. Reading communities such as StoryGraph and book clubs provide valuable platforms for tracking reading progress, sharing reviews, and setting goals. StoryGraph in particular allows personalized book recommendations based on user preferences, which can help readers discover historical novels or mysteries, aligning well with the author's future reading targets. The importance of thematic variety in reading is evident in the author’s selections—from parody novels like 'Pounded by Produce' to psychological thrillers such as 'You’re Not Supposed to Die Tonight,' and literary classics like 'For Whom The Bell Tolls.' Recognizing various genres encourages balanced reading diets, which support both entertainment and intellectual growth. Managing life transitions while maintaining reading goals can be challenging. The author weighs pros and cons of moving, highlighting both logistical concerns and benefits for content creation like TikTok videos and photography. This demonstrates how lifestyle changes can influence content production and reading motivation, encouraging a mindful approach to goal setting. Engagement with community hashtags such as #lemon8bookclub and #storygraph fosters connection with readers sharing similar interests, encouraging accountability and support. Readers aiming to complete series or explore new genres may find inspiration and recommendations by joining these communities. Setting a specific target of reading 15 books also reflects the motivational power of quantifiable goals. To achieve this, choosing shorter reads, audiobooks, or mixing genres can help maintain momentum and enjoyment. In summary, combining life experiences, dedicated reading goals, community engagement, and thoughtful book selection enhances the reading journey. For anyone aspiring to expand their literary horizons or balance reading with life changes, this approach offers practical and inspirational insights.
