THE MOST ADDICTING DIP 🥦🧀
Aunt Donna ALWAYS has the best dips! And this one is a family favorite 😍 Its one of those dips that will have everyone asking for the recipe!
It’s addictively good and surprisingly SO easy to make with minimal ingredients 🥦🧀 you can also prep this the day before which really helps knock things off the to do list ✔️
What you’ll need:
🧀 16 oz of sharp cheddar cheese (add more if you want a thicker dip)
🧀 4 heads of broccoli
🧀 one package leek recipe mix
🧀 3 cups sour cream
🧀 3 cups mayonnaise (aunt Donna say Hellmann’s ONLY!!)
Start out by cutting & steaming the broccoli. Grate the cheddar cheese. Freshly grated cheese is the KEY to this recipe 👏🏻 Then add to a bowl the sour cream, mayo and cream of leek soup mix. Stir. Then add in your cheddar cheese slowly and mix in well. Add in your steamed broccoli (no need to chop it up, it will easily mix in and break up on its own to the dip as it’s soft from steaming). Taste test and add in more cheddar cheese as needed to thicken the dip. Place in the fridge to chill for at least 2 hours or overnight. Serve with fresh pumpernickel or sourdough bread and ENJOY! 🧀🥦I
SAVE this easy recipe so you can make on repeat this holiday season 😍😍

If you’ve ever wondered how to elevate a simple dip into a crowd-pleasing favorite, Aunt Donna’s Broccoli Cheddar Dip is a perfect example from my own kitchen. I tried this recipe for my last holiday gathering and was amazed at how quickly it disappeared. The fresh grated cheddar really makes a difference—it melts smoothly and brings a wonderful sharpness that balances the mild broccoli. One tip I learned while making this dip is to steam the broccoli just until tender so it blends seamlessly into the creamy base without becoming mushy. You don’t need to chop the broccoli finely because it naturally breaks apart once mixed with the sour cream, mayo, and leek soup mix. Using Hellmann’s mayonnaise is key, as Aunt Donna insists, to achieve that perfect creamy texture and subtle tang that complements the other ingredients. Preparing the dip a day ahead allows the flavors to meld, making it even tastier the next day. I usually serve this dip chilled with hearty breads like pumpernickel or sourdough; it’s also fantastic with fresh vegetable sticks or crackers if you want a lighter option. This recipe is incredibly versatile and easy enough to become part of your regular appetizer rotation. Give it a try for your next gathering and enjoy the rave reviews!
