Butter Pecan Cake with Cream Cheese Icing Recipe

Ingredients

For the Cake:

2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

2 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp salt

1 cup unsalted butter, softened

1 1/2 cups granulated sugar

4 large eggs

1 cup whole milk

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 cup chopped pecans, toasted

For the Cream Cheese Icing:

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

3 cups powdered sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract

2 tbsp heavy cream (optional for consistency)

For Garnish:

1/2 cup chopped pecans, toasted

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Pecans

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Spread chopped pecans on a baking sheet.

Toast in the oven for 5–7 minutes until fragrant. Set aside to cool.

Step 2: Make the Cake Batter

Grease and flour a loaf pan or bundt pan.

In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.

In a large mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
