Final Fat loss Journey update

My final results on my fat loss journey! What a journey this has been. Overall I did not have a physique goal, my only goal was to see if I had the discipline to do it and I can say that I did. All I wanted during this journey was to build habits, routine, consistency, and discipline because those things are the real reward, now I can carry all those things I’ve build daily to my new goals and overall fitness journey.

Below I will provide my body composition for reference:

Body fat percentage I started at 29% current is 22%

Weight I started at 191 pounds current at 146 pounds

Measurements for reference:

Hips started at 48in current is 43in

Waist started at 34in current is 26in

Arms started at 17in current is 10in

Bust started at 38in current is 34in

Overall I’m so proud of myself for what I was able to accomplish. Now I’m excited for my next journey which is continue to build more muscle and eat at maintenance.

Building a routine doesn't mean hitting the gym for two hours daily; it could be 30 minutes of brisk walking, three times a week, gradually increasing as you get stronger. Focus on small, achievable goals, and celebrate every milestone, big or small. Remember, movement is medicine, and making it a joyful part of your life is key to long-term success. Now, regarding those stubborn areas, like why someone might have back fat, it's a common concern! What I've learned is that while you can't truly 'spot reduce' fat (meaning you can't pick one area to lose fat from), overall fat loss through a balanced diet and consistent exercise routine will naturally reduce fat everywhere, including your back. Incorporating strength training into your fitness routine is especially beneficial. Exercises that target your back muscles, like rows, pull-downs, and even yoga poses, can help build muscle and create a more toned physique. When you build muscle, your body composition changes, and those areas can look much leaner and sculpted, contributing to that desired 'visible abs' look and a stronger core overall. It’s about total body recomposition rather than just weight loss. Nutrition plays a massive role too. Creating a sustainable calorie deficit (eating slightly fewer calories than you burn) and prioritizing protein intake helps preserve muscle while losing fat. Coupled with your renewed focus on building more muscle, you're perfectly set up for continued success. Remember, this journey is about progress, not perfection. Keep learning, keep moving, and keep celebrating the amazing strength and discipline you're building!
