How much is your rent?
I’m so curious how much everyone’s rent is and how much it differs by state. The housing prices here in Utah are actually out of control 😭 I finally found our place after searching for months and it’s still not cheap by any means. The $1,050 doesn’t include any utilities so it turns out to be about

The general rule to afford housing you must make at least 3x Monthly Rent. I want to see if this is something everyone follow and still make ends meet. Btw, I make $60k and I pay $0 (living at home) All of your answers are super interesting. Would love to start a discussion on this! #lets

HOW MUCH IS YOUR RENT?
This is/was my first apartment. I moved in last year in April with my ex. It was a TINY 400 sq ft apartment with a little kitchenette and mini fridge. Because I was paying an additional pet rent, the rent came to $600 living here. ✨ Pros: Cute neighborhood, built in bookshelf and dresser!

How much do you spend monthly on rent?
Just curious what percent of your incomes are you all spending on rent? I often hear it should be no more than 30 or 40 percent but with the prices these days, that’s often not realistic when living alone. How are you all doing it? I plan to live alone next year.

NYC girlies, help me, is this rent too much?
I need NYC people to be brutally honest… Is paying $2,350 in rent on an $82k salary actually doable, or am I setting myself up for stress every month? Because every time I think I found a “reasonable” apartment, I realize reasonable in NYC means “you won’t cry every day, just twice a week.” 😭

Salary is actually $75k with a $5k relocation package. It’s for a growing startup so I expect to be making more next year than this year, but I’m not sure how much more. After tax and after rent I’ll have about $27k for food, utilities, student loans ($29k total), and any other expenses. Probably w
