What I used to get pregnant (PCOS edition)

I used this method two times and was successful. First round I thought we weren’t successful but we just tested too early and I found out a month later I was pregnant with a baby girl. Before trying to conceive the second time I got pregnant on my own but ended up having a miscarriage at 7 weeks. Second round with meds we were successful and had twin girls. None of the supplements worked I asked my fertility doctor for options and this is what she gave me. I highly recommend trying this if you have pcos and are trying to conceive.Definitely use the ovulation test in the photo these are very accurate. ⭐️Overall rating: 10/10

... Read moreWhen you have PCOS and are trying to conceive, the desire to get pregnant quickly can feel overwhelming. I know that feeling all too well! It's natural to look for ways to speed up the process, and for many of us, fertility treatments involving specific tablets become a crucial part of the journey. I wanted to share a bit more about the types of medications and methods that were part of my successful attempts, hoping to shed some light for others navigating similar paths. One of the key 'tablets' often discussed for PCOS is Letrozole. My doctor explained that it helps stimulate ovulation, which can be irregular or absent with PCOS. Unlike some other medications, Letrozole works by temporarily lowering estrogen levels, which then signals the brain to produce more hormones needed for follicle development and ovulation. For me, taking this regularly as prescribed was a game-changer in understanding my cycle and giving us a better chance each month. Then there's the critical role of Progesterone Capsules. Once ovulation was confirmed, or sometimes as a preventative measure, I was prescribed progesterone. This hormone is vital for maintaining the uterine lining and supporting an early pregnancy. It offers that extra support, especially if your body struggles to produce enough progesterone naturally, which can be common with PCOS. It felt like an essential step in preparing my body for a successful implantation and sustaining the pregnancy in those crucial early weeks. In some cycles, to ensure precise timing, my doctor would also use an hCG injection, like Pregnyl. This 'trigger shot' is given to mature the eggs and induce ovulation at a specific time, maximizing the chances when timed intercourse or other procedures are planned. It really helped take the guesswork out of ovulation for us. Beyond the tablets, accurate tracking is absolutely essential. Using an advanced ovulation test, like the Clearblue Advanced Digital Ovulation Test, became a non-negotiable part of my routine. These tests help pinpoint your most fertile window by detecting hormonal surges, letting you know exactly when to try. Combine this with the medications, and you have a much clearer picture of your body's signals. While the phrase 'get pregnant fast' is what we all hope for, it's also important to remember that fertility journeys, especially with PCOS, often require patience and persistence. These tablets and methods are powerful tools, but they work best under the guidance of a fertility specialist. Each body responds differently, and what worked for me might need adjustments for someone else. But for anyone feeling lost, knowing these options exist and how they might help can be incredibly empowering. Working closely with your doctor, understanding your specific PCOS challenges, and staying consistent with your treatment plan are truly key. It’s a marathon, not a sprint, but with the right support and tools, a positive outcome is absolutely within reach.
