What I Wish I Knew When I Started Knitting

When I first learned to knit I was convinced I need to practice my knit and purl stitches A LOT. In fact, I started a seed stitch scarf to do that, alternating between those two stitches the entire time. This takes forever and was completely unnecessary (although I do think it looks very pretty!)
