To add extra fun and flavor to your spooky pumpkin cookies, consider these tips I've learned from my baking experience: 1. Use a pumpkin-shaped cookie cutter to create festive shapes that are perfect for Halloween parties or fall gatherings. Cutting out eyes and mouths adds a cute spooky effect. 2. For the pumpkin purée, adding pumpkin pie spice is a game-changer. You can adjust the amount to suit how warm and spicy you like your desserts. A little cinnamon and nutmeg in the egg wash also enhances the aroma and taste. 3. Using puff pastry sheets makes the cookies crisp and flaky. It’s a quick alternative to making dough from scratch, saving time while still delivering great texture. 4. To make the cookies even more special, try sprinkling some coarse sugar or sparkling sugar on top before baking. It adds a nice crunch and sparkle that makes them irresistible. 5. Don’t forget to line your baking pans with parchment paper. It prevents sticking and helps the cookies bake evenly, making cleanup easy. 6. These cookies pair wonderfully with a warm cup of spiced tea or pumpkin spice latte, making for a cozy fall treat. I hope these extras inspire you to make your spooky pumpkin cookies even more memorable and delicious this fall season!
