Abide in HIM

The world says freedom comes from following your heart. Jesus says freedom comes from following His Word.

Truth isn’t whatever we want it to be. Truth has a name, and His words never change.

The closer we stay to Christ, the more clearly we see, the stronger we stand, and the freer we become.

“If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”

John 8:31-32 (NKJV) 📖🕊️ #faith #biblestudy #biblejournaling #bibleverses @✨ Misfit

... Read moreReflecting on the message “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free,” I've experienced firsthand how anchoring my life in the teachings of Jesus brings a deep sense of peace and freedom that the world’s version of freedom often lacks. Many people believe freedom means following their own hearts without restrictions. However, this approach can sometimes lead to confusion, guilt, or feeling lost when our desires conflict with reality. Abiding in Christ means leaning on His unchanging Word as a guide in everyday decisions and challenges. From my journey, the more I immerse myself in Scripture and meditate on verses like John 8:31-32, the clearer my understanding of truth becomes. This clarity doesn’t just provide knowledge but also empowers me to stand firm against fear, shame, or guilt. The truth spoken of isn’t abstract; it’s a living, breathing foundation that offers light and grace even in difficult times. Applying this principle daily, I’ve noticed that staying close to Jesus—through prayer, Bible journaling, and fellowship—enhances my inner strength and freedom. Freedom here is not the absence of boundaries but the liberation from the lies that sin and shame impose. The words captured in the image, though fragmented, remind me of the powerful connections among abiding, discipleship, grace, and freedom. They illustrate that Jesus’ promise is real: when we deeply root ourselves in His word, we become true disciples, walk in life and light, and experience freedom that transcends worldly definitions. For anyone seeking freedom beyond fleeting pleasures, embracing Jesus’ Word offers an unshakable foundation. It’s a transformative path that strengthens faith and anchors the soul amid life’s storms.
