Should I Still Go?

My best friend invited me months ago to Mexico with her and her family. I’ve been so excited—passport ready, outfits bought, time off work.

She recently broke up with her super controlling bf (name-calling, constant accusations, picking fights). I thought it was finally over… but today she told me they’re back together AND he’s coming with us.

Now I know I’m going to spend this trip third-wheeling and dealing with drama instead of relaxing. I wanted to explore and have fun, but he won’t let her do anything.

We leave in two days and I don’t want to cancel, but I’m so upset. How would you handle this?

Just say I was so excited to go with you guys and I want to relax and have fun

Go with the mindset that you’re on a solo trip and enjoy yourself. There will be people there to chat with. Not sure how old you are but with age and time women will hang out less and less to start families and be with a partner. Don’t let it ruin your vacation. Just don’t leave the resort alone please and thank you.
