I got so shoot some shots in the mountains. Much gratitude to waking up this morning. The longest day has passed and theyâll only get shorter from here. Grateful for the sun to rise and bring some energy to my plants. Saw some new growth today which was pretty cool.
This quote has been sticking with me:
âYou can admire a blooming flower, but you canât ask it to understand you.â
Basically meaning you can admire someoneâs growth, their creation, their presence, but you canât ask them to understand your life, your struggle your pain. You can only just find your way to grow. Find want you need and soon you will be the flower that people admire. The lotus is extremely present in Buddhism which is why I drew it with the quote. Understand that the flower and you are one and the same.
Picture 5 is the tree of the day!! My friend Faith started that if you ever see it anywhere else just fyi ðð
It was a good day in the mountains. I was recording myself writing for like a poetry video. Hopefully I can share it on here but if not follow me on TikTok:p @reddcloud1147 :)
... Read moreHey Lemon8 fam! I wanted to dive a little deeper into that quote thatâs been resonating with me: 'You can admire a blooming flower, but you canât ask it to understand you.' When I first heard it, it felt like a simple truth, but the more I sit with it, especially after my mountain reflections (and seeing all that 'new growth' around!), the more profound its meaning becomes.
For me, this isn't just about appreciating beauty from a distance. It's a powerful reminder about personal boundaries and the unique journey we're all on. Think about it: a flower doesn't need to understand your struggles or validate your pain to be beautiful. It simply *is*. And in the same way, we can appreciate the beauty, success, or even the challenges of others without expecting them to fully grasp our inner world. This realization has brought me so much peace, particularly on days when I used to feel misunderstood. It helps me remember to 'breathe' and let go of expectations that others should know exactly what I'm going through.
It also flips the script on self-acceptance. Instead of constantly seeking external validation or trying to explain myself to everyone, this quote encourages me to focus on my own bloom. Just like that 'Tree Of The Day' I shared, standing tall and unique, we are meant to grow in our own way, at our own pace. The energy I used to spend wishing others would 'get' me, I now channel into nurturing my own 'new growth,' whether that's learning something new, practicing mindfulness, or simply enjoying the 'gratitude to the rising sun' each morning.
The connection to the lotus flower and Buddhism, as I mentioned, is so significant here. The lotus rises from muddy waters, blooming pure and beautiful without ever needing to 'understand' the mud it came from. It just grows. This symbolizes our ability to find our own path, our own inner peace, and our own wisdom, regardless of our circumstances. We are the flower, constantly evolving.
So, what does this mean for you? For me, it's about shifting focus. Instead of trying to make others understand your life, your struggles, or your pain â which can be exhausting and often fruitless â cultivate your own garden. Find what you need to thrive. Seek out environments and people who appreciate your bloom, not necessarily those who understand every root and stem. Itâs about recognizing that true understanding often comes from within, through self-reflection and personal growth. Like those quiet moments sitting in nature, feeling 'HAPPY SUNDAY!' vibes, it's about finding that internal stillness.
Embrace your uniqueness. Allow yourself to grow in ways that feel authentic to you. And when you admire others, do so freely, without the burden of expectation. That's where true admiration, and true self-acceptance, really begins. Keep blooming, Lemon8 fam! ðļ
