iPad screenshot tricks you didn’t know existed 📸

iPads have so many hidden features, and screenshotting is one of them. There are actually three ways to take a screenshot, but I personally avoid the power + volume button combo because I always accidentally end up shutting down my iPad 🫠. These other two methods have been my go-to ever since.

... Read moreIf you often struggle with the traditional method of taking iPad screenshots using the power and volume buttons, I totally get it — I used to press them accidentally, causing my iPad to shut down unexpectedly. Thankfully, there are simpler and safer alternatives built right into your iPad. One of my favorite tricks is enabling AssistiveTouch. This feature adds an on-screen menu that lets you take screenshots with a single tap, no need to juggle physical buttons. To activate it, go to Settings > Accessibility > Touch > AssistiveTouch, then customize the menu to add the Screenshot option. This way, screenshotting becomes effortless, especially when typing or holding your device. Another smart method is using a swipe gesture starting from the bottom left corner of your screen, which triggers the screenshot without pressing any hardware buttons. This hidden gesture is great for quick and discreet captures. After taking a screenshot, you’ll notice a preview appear in the corner, letting you edit or share immediately. This preview feature is perfect for quick annotations or cropping without opening a separate app. Overall, these alternative screenshot methods make capturing your screen easier and less frustrating. Trying them out has definitely improved my iPad experience. If you haven’t explored these hidden tricks yet, I highly recommend giving them a shot!
