Today we honor the beautiful life and legacy of Mother Khadijah Farrakhan, the beloved wife of the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan, his queen, his partner, and his strength for 72 years.
Born Betsy Ross, she became known to many as Mother Khadijah, a woman of faith, dignity, grace, family, and devotion. She stood beside her husband through decades of leadership, service, sacrifice, and purpose. She was not only the First Lady of the Nation of Islam — she was a mother, grandmother, guide, and example of womanhood to many.
Mother Khadijah and Minister Farrakhan shared a powerful love story and raised nine children together: Mustapha, Joshua Nasir, Abnar, Louis Jr., Donna, Hanan, Maria, Fatimah, and Khallada. Her life was rooted in faith, family, loyalty, and strength.
