Ways to recover monthly
I like to set out a weekend every month to recovery and reset. It is easy to go through the motions of life without thinking or even being fully present. I like to take time out of the month to check on myself here is what I do.
1. I like to journal and be honest with myself. I like to write down what is something good that happened to me this month and something that wasn’t good. How did it make me feel and have a moved on from them.
2. I like to do something fun that I have been putting off. Take time to treat yourself and invest in you. Whether it is getting your nails done visiting a friend taking yourself out to dinner or staying in to watch a movie. It is important to make sure you’re prioritizing you.
3. I also like to be present. I take time to be Intentional with what is going on in my life. I like to think about how my life is going and make an effort to be present. This can look different for everyone but for me I take time off my phone.
Taking time for monthly recovery is crucial in today’s fast-paced world. Establishing a routine can significantly enhance your well-being. Journaling is a powerful tool that allows for self-reflection; it enables you to write down your achievements and challenges, providing clarity on your emotional state. Engaging in enjoyable activities, such as pampering yourself with a spa day or exploring new hobbies, can reignite passion and excitement in your life. Additionally, being present is fundamental. Mindfulness practices, like meditation or simply unplugging from screens, can help anchor you in reality, reducing stress and enhancing overall happiness. This month, consider creating a personalized “recovery weekend” with structured activities that align with your interests. Whether it’s nature walks, creative arts, or culinary experiments, connecting with what you love can be revitalizing. Remember, taking time to focus on your own needs is not selfish but rather essential for maintaining a balanced and fulfilling life. Prioritizing your mental health not only benefits you but also enhances your relationships with others, allowing you to engage more fully in your interactions. So make it a monthly ritual to prioritize you, reflect thoughtfully, and recover mindfully.
