🗡️Five Broken Blades: A Great Start To A Series.
✨A wonderful tale of a bond built off lies & half truths. These 6 individuals are set on an impossible tasks that even discussing it has granted them imprisonment or death. To kill the king of their land. Each having their own special skill set that is crucial to the mission. The old saying is that “there is no honor amongst thieves” but there is another saying “as thick as thieves”, I’m going with the latter because I feel this group is a found family. Still working through their bonds of love, loyalty and lies and growing to care for one another.
✨I love books with maps so I can follow along with characters on their journey. I love the world building and descriptions of each place they go to, I can visually see their world. Love the hardcover book design with the design of the characters inside the cover pages.
✨I went into this book the same way I do my mystery reads, suspecting everyone. The mission is to kill the king and while everyone has a reason to do so, there is always someone that’s going to turn on the group. Was not expecting that ending though which leads into the rest of the series.
