Blaming prolongs the process of healing

Blame became one of humanity’s first responses after the “fall.”

When we blame others, our healing takes longer because our focus stays on what they did.

When we blame ourselves, our healing takes longer because shame keeps us stuck.

When we release blame, we reclaim our power. That’s where healing truly begins.

Which is harder for you to let go of… blaming others or blaming yourself?

Let me know in the comments. 👇🏾

... Read moreIn my personal experience, the act of blaming—whether directed outwardly or inwardly—significantly delayed my emotional healing. Initially, I found myself fixating on what others had done wrong, which kept me trapped in anger and resentment. Over time, I realized that this fixation only prolonged my pain, as I remained focused on external causes rather than my own growth. Conversely, self-blame introduced a different kind of barrier: shame. When I blamed myself, I felt stuck in a cycle of self-criticism that robbed me of the energy needed to move forward. This deep sense of shame often led to avoidance behaviors rather than addressing my feelings constructively. The turning point came when I consciously chose to release both types of blame. This process was neither immediate nor easy, but it allowed me to reclaim my personal power. Happiness and healing truly began when I redirected my attention to self-forgiveness and self-compassion, which empowered me to learn from my experiences instead of being defined by them. For others on a healing journey, I recommend exploring mindfulness techniques and journaling as tools to become aware of blame patterns. Reflecting on which is harder to release—blaming others or oneself—can provide valuable insights into one's emotional blocks. Embracing forgiveness, both towards others and yourself, opens the pathway for deeper healing and growth. Remember, healing is a personal journey, and releasing blame is a courageous first step toward reclaiming your peace and well-being.
