... Read moreI still can't believe what happened on my last dumpster diving adventure. It was a pretty typical day, rummaging through discarded items, hoping to unearth something interesting. But then, as I sifted through some bulkier waste, a glint caught my eye. It wasn't just any shine; it was a deep, rich, undeniable gold. My heart started pounding as I carefully pulled out what appeared to be an ancient, intricately detailed statue. At first, I thought it might be a clever replica or just gold-colored plastic, but the weight and the way it felt in my hands suggested something far more substantial. As I wiped away some grime, the details of what looked like an 18K gold piece became clearer. It felt surreal – a genuine antique, possibly a religious shrine or a significant cultural artifact, just tossed away! The thought of its journey from someone's possession to the bottom of a dumpster was baffling. My mind immediately raced with questions: Is this truly solid gold? What's its story? How old could it be? And most importantly, what do I do with it now? My first step, after getting over the initial shock, was to carefully clean it to reveal its true beauty without causing any damage. I've been doing some quick research online, trying to identify any symbols or artistic styles that might give a clue to its origin or era. Finding an 18K gold statue like this is not just a monetary discovery; it feels like uncovering a piece of history. I'm planning to seek out an expert for an appraisal and proper identification. It's crucial to handle such finds responsibly, ensuring its authenticity and understanding its value ethically. For anyone else venturing into dumpster diving, always be prepared for anything – you never know what treasures might be waiting to be rediscovered. This experience has truly been a once-in-a-lifetime find, and I'm eager to learn everything I can about this mysterious gold relic. It just goes to show, one person's trash really can be another's invaluable treasure!

It’s a prayer temple for at home. Sometimes used as a memorial devotional. Sadly made by hand most likely by someone Asian. That’s really sad someone tossed it. Maybe you can’t reuse it if there is no family left ? Awesome find. Have the zhu zhu cleansed in case it carries bd luck. lol 😂
