🚨Week #4 update 🚨
Well, well, well folks. We’ve officially hit a month into my weight loss journey, and I couldn’t be happier!!
If you had told me I made it this far a month ago, then I wouldn’t have believed you! Not because I didn’t think it was possible, but because I felt like I lacked the willpower. But posting here had forced me to be accountable. Even if only one to two people are looking at it, I know that I have people waiting on the results of my discipline and hard work.
Here’s what I’ve learned/seen so far:
🩷 No supplement is going to magically fix your weight. That of course is a given. The calorie deficit I’ve stuck to is the main reason for my weight loss
🩷 My confidence has skyrocketed. Even if it’s only eight pounds, I feel so much better about myself. The reason I started this in the first place was to feel better about myself.
🩷 No matter how many times you’ve tried and failed, it doesn’t mean you can’t start again and have success. It’s a marathon, not a sprint.
🩷 Your weight isn’t all that matters. I know that seems counterintuitive coming from this post, but hear me out. I’ve spent most of my life seeking to change myself for others approval and to look in the mirror without hating myself. Even as I’ve gained weight or lost it throughout various seasons of my life, it doesn’t change anything else about me. I’m still the same girl that I was from the start and always will be.
With all of that being said, I am very happy with how things are going so far and will continue to update till I reach a point where I am content with myself. However I will still be attempting to commit to a lifestyle of healthier eating and habits! This isn’t just a diet, it’s a rewrite of how I treat my body.
Embarking on a weight loss journey can be transformative, physically and mentally. Over the past month, focusing on a calorie deficit has proven crucial in achieving my goal, leading to shedding 8 pounds. Weight loss is a personal marathon; success doesn’t come overnight. With every attempt, failures can arise, but they are stepping stones to future successes. The key lies in adopting healthier habits and recognizing that weight isn't the ultimate measure of worth. A lifestyle change should prioritize well-being over societal approval, making every progress, no matter how small, count. Remember, the journey is about feeling better and treating your body with respect, ultimately leading to long-term wellness and confidence.
