New Chips 👀

... Read moreOkay, snack enthusiasts, you know that thrill of walking into a grocery store and spotting something *new*? That's exactly what happened to me recently when I stumbled upon these Limited Edition Herr's Kettle Cooked chips at my local Acme! I'm always on the hunt for unique flavors, and Herr's definitely delivered with two intriguing options: Mozzarella Sticks & Marinara and Spinach & Artichoke Dip. First up, the Mozzarella Sticks & Marinara flavor. Oh. My. Goodness. From the very first crunch, I knew these were going to be a winner. The flavor truly was on point – it perfectly captured that savory, slightly tangy marinara sauce blended with the creamy, cheesy notes of mozzarella. It wasn't overly artificial, which is a huge plus for snack chips. I gave these a solid 8/10 because they really delivered on the promise of their name. If you're a fan of those classic appetizer flavors and enjoy a robust cheese snack, you absolutely have to try these. They're definitely a standout in the 'unique cheese snack flavors' category for me! Then I moved on to the Spinach & Artichoke Dip chips. I had such high hopes for these, as I adore the actual dip. However, after a few bites, I rated them a 6/10. While they weren't bad, they were, as I noted in my initial review, 'pretty spinachy.' The artichoke notes felt a bit lost, and the overall impression was more like eating a crunchy spinach chip rather than the rich, complex dip I envisioned. It's a bold flavor, for sure, but for me, it just didn't quite hit the mark compared to the Mozzarella Sticks. What I always appreciate about Herr's Kettle Cooked chips is that incredible crunch. For those wondering, 'is it deep fried?', yes, kettle-cooked chips are fried, but the process is different from regular potato chips. They're cooked in smaller batches at a lower temperature, which gives them a thicker, harder, and much crispier texture. This method really locks in the flavor and gives them that satisfying bite that stands out from other potato chip flavors. Beyond these new finds, Herr's has a fantastic range of kettle cooked chips that are worth exploring. I'm a big fan of their classic flavors, but they also venture into exciting territory. For instance, their Dill Pickle chips are legendary among pickle lovers, offering a tangy, savory burst. And if you like a bit of heat, their Jalapeno Kettle Chips provide a fantastic kick without being overwhelmingly spicy. These are just a couple of examples that showcase how Herr's consistently brings interesting and bold chip flavors to the market. Snack hunting is one of my favorite pastimes, and finding limited edition items like these makes it even more exciting. My biggest tip for fellow snack enthusiasts is to always keep an eye out in the snack aisle, especially at stores like Acme, for those 'new food finds' signs. You never know what delicious surprise you might uncover! It’s a great way to discover your next favorite snack idea or even a fun new twist on classic potato chip flavors. So, if you spot these Herr's Kettle Cooked Mozzarella Sticks & Marinara or Spinach & Artichoke Dip chips, grab them and give them a try! I’d love to hear your thoughts on these or any other new Herr's snacks you’ve discovered. Happy snacking!

Both are good but I personally prefer the spinach artichoke ones. I got them at Wawa!
