The Lesser Gods Book Review!

This was my first Vampire Fantasy Trope Romance and my second 5 star rating for the year. This book was so good!!!

I love fantasy and Vampires, but for such action-packed and visually appealing genres, I usually prefer to watch those types of stories in film format to be able to truly experience all of their impact. This gave me that in my minds eye the entire experience. I watched the entire thing layout in front of me as we broke out from the very beginning with such an intense and high stress attack on our female lead and her kinship as they travel through dangerous territory where Vampires lurk and take control over most things, as the 200 year old war between the humans and vampires rage on. Both sides desperate for peace for their own kind, feelinf thw great loss more than ever, the two sides come to a very resonabke conclusion... Unite the two enemies by unifying one of each of their own in an arranged marriage. I felt the idea of the plot felt nostalgic in its concept of an betrothsl to unite the two species as one and bring peace to all for good, while also it intertwined so many of its own new details and perspectives that took it to its own heights while developing its unique and intimate plot. I felt the plot and relationships overall were just so passionate and intimate in every way and facet. Rather, it be in the passions of grief and anger, or death and loss, or the love of deep friendships and sacrifice, and deeply in the physical intimate scenes presented at the most perfect times.

Emmeline is by far one of my favorite book Heroines and her loyalty and bravery to do what she must to finally bring peace and safety to those she loves most by sacrificing her soul and future existence to the very beasts who have taken everything from her thus far is just unshakable. Prince Euclid is quite the dichotomy of an experience. He's a book boyfriend for the books. He starts out so grumpy and full of what seems like annoyance at the future he has been made to invest in alongside the throne he is Heir to but the more we learn about this silver haired Wraith, there is much more going on than you would have imagined and there is so much more hiding behind the black oil smeared across his face.

There are so many fun characters to love and obsess over as well. Every girl needs a Sasha. Sasha is such an epic first lady to our Em. True to her friends' side in their most heart-wrenching life changes ahead but together in it all. Euclid's fellow team of Vampire brethren who fight with him side by side all bring fun flavors to the banter and dialog throughout the story bringing so many laughs and giggles deepening your love for the universe building before you and you just keep wanting more.

I found so many moments in this book that had me trying to read faster to unlock the next door as we close in on the final ceremony that will forever turn our Em into the undead alongside her fair haired Prince. But the further we go, the more jagged the edges of the simple treaty become, and something soon will go terribly wrong. I had no idea the twists and turns that would bring this story to a close but it had me on the edge before plunging to the cliffs below and sobbing into the final conclusion which brought me to my newest Vampire obsession.

I loved this book. The spice level was absolutely perfect. Intimate scenes sprinkled throughout as our relationship developed and then two that are very steamy and such perfection for our story. Perfect representations on how explicit intimate scenes can be written in such a well-balanced mix of erotic but demure and leaves you panting!!!

It was like watching a movie that hit every point it needed to be successful in its finality and in such a well-rounded and satisfying way.

I truly hope we get more Euclid and Emmeline. They are such a power couple!! Also... I could read Prince Euclid, say, "I got you, wife." until the end of time and get off just as hard every time!
