book review: neon gods💜💙🖤
I just finished Neon Gods by Katee Robert and my god was it a wild ride! The story is a modern day retelling of Persephone and Hades (not like Lore Olympus) and basically the city of Olympus is ruled by The Thirteen and the “gods” are more like government positions. There’s definitely a lot more sex scenes than I was anticipating but once you read the first two you get used to it after a while. I really loved the interactions between Hades and Persephone and ESPECIALLY Hermes and Dionysus, they were such silly yet complex characters.
If you’re into mythology, dystopian worlds, power hungry characters and a lot of smut scenes, this is definitely the book for you!
