How to deal with infidelity
Summary of how to cope when being unfaithful (abridged version):
• Conscious and Emotional Care: Allow yourself to grieve, but avoid making decisions or posting to social media when emotions are still raging and remember that it's not your fault.
• Talk openly when ready: Choose a calm time, talk to find clarity on whether to go on or enough, and notice whether the other person is truly remorseful or just excuses.
• Decide on the corridor:
• If going on: The other party must stop messing with the new person and rebuild their trust (which takes a lot of time).
• If that's enough: Be hurt to finish, clear your commitment, and walk out with dignity.
• Back to Love Yourself: Find a trusted person (or consult a psychologist) and focus on happiness, health, and our values.
