Guilt Free Meal
I wish I could rewind time back an hour just to enjoy this meal again lol. Obviously, Its not good to eat breads daily so I definitely limit it. However when I get a craving for a good sub I opt in for sourdough bread which is a much better option for many reasons, but I still consume in moderation.
Sandwich include Cajun turkey, spring mix, slice of mild cheddar, cucumbers, a little seriously a little Duke's mayo, onions, mustard, and a little sub oil dressing.
I had a side salad with it which included a pinch of cheese, a few green olives maybe 5-6, cucumbers and a little of the sub oil dressing.
10/10 if I do say so myself.

When it comes to enjoying a meal that satisfies cravings without the guilt, I’ve found that choosing the right ingredients and portion control make all the difference. Sourdough bread stands out as a fantastic option for sandwiches because its natural fermentation process breaks down some of the gluten and sugars, making it easier to digest compared to regular white bread. This is a key reason why I turn to sourdough when I want a sub, especially since it adds a delicious tangy flavor that complements savory fillings perfectly. For my go-to sub, I use Cajun turkey which adds a nice spicy kick without being overwhelming, blended with crisp spring mix for freshness, mild cheddar for creaminess, and crunchy cucumbers for texture. The balance of flavors is rounded out by a light spread of Duke's mayo and touches of mustard and sub oil dressing, ensuring each bite is moist but not heavy. I limit the use of mayonnaise and oil dressing to keep the calories in check, which helps maintain the guilt-free aspect of the meal. Pairing the sandwich with a simple side salad makes the meal feel even more wholesome. I like to add a pinch of cheese and a few green olives to keep the salad flavorful, along with more cucumbers for extra crunch. A splash of the same sub oil dressing ties it all together, adding a subtle richness without overwhelming the freshness of the vegetables. From my experience, eating bread daily isn’t ideal for health, so I make sure to enjoy subs like this one only occasionally and in moderation. This way, I can indulge my cravings while still being mindful of my nutrition goals. If you’re looking for a satisfying meal that feels indulgent but won’t derail your healthy eating habits, consider this delicious sourdough Cajun turkey sub with a vibrant side salad—it’s a 10/10 in my book!
