My Non-stick Always Pan After 1 year of Use ✨

I love this pan! This color was a limited edition by Selena Gomez in collaboration with Our Place, and I’m so sad it’s discontinued—I couldn’t get the matching pot in this shade. I absolutely adore the brown color and the gold detailing.

So far, I’ve kept it in great shape. I use medium heat, avoid letting food burn, and only use wooden utensils (no metal). I also clean it with a soft sponge. However, not everything has been perfect; I’ve noticed that some foods now stick a bit more than before.

What I love most is how versatile it is! I can do so much more than frying: fried eggs, scrambled eggs, soups, brisket, chicken, quiche, baked dishes—you name it. I’ve baked with it twice, and both times turned out amazing! Recently, I baked a whole chicken, and it came out incredible. You can also use the lid, which helps food cook better. Since the whole pan gets hot in the oven, I got their cute hot grips for baking. It is such a great addition!

The spatula holder is such a clever idea! It only works with their spatulas, as they have a hole that fits into the holder, but it’s incredibly convenient for avoiding messes. When I place the pan on the table, it’s so handy to have a designated spot for the spatula. I love how they think of every detail. You can put it on your table, and will look nice and aesthetic.

Overall, I love it! (I think I’ve said “I love it” too many times in this post… Hahaha —but I really do!) Like most pans, the non-stick coating will gradually wear off over time, but just make sure to add oil before cooking, and it won’t stick. Also use low to medium heat and follow all the care instructions to make it last longer.

... Read moreOkay, so many of you are asking about "non-toxic cookware" and if the Always Pan is "PFOA/PFAS/PTFE free." While my original post focused on my personal experience with the pan's durability after a year, I totally get why these questions are important! When I first bought my viral Always Pan, I was definitely looking for something that not only performed well but also aligned with healthier cooking practices. It’s hard to know sometimes what all those acronyms mean, right? PFOA, PFAS, and PTFE are chemicals often associated with traditional non-stick coatings. PFOA (perfluorooctanoic acid) and PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) are often called 'forever chemicals' because they don't break down easily and can accumulate in the environment and our bodies. PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) is the scientific name for Teflon, which is a type of non-stick coating. Many brands, including Our Place, now produce pans that are free from PFOA and PFAS, opting for ceramic-based non-stick coatings instead. It’s always best to check the manufacturer's details if you're concerned about these. For me, knowing that a pan is made with safer materials gives me peace of mind as I cook for my family. Extending the life of any non-stick pan, whether it's ceramic or traditional, is key to getting your money's worth. Beyond the tips I shared about using medium heat and wooden utensils, here are a few more things I've learned that really help. First, never put a hot pan under cold water – the sudden temperature change can warp it and damage the non-stick surface, leading to those pesky 'scratches' and 'wear' you might see over time. Always let it cool down naturally. When cleaning, even though I mentioned a soft sponge, I also make sure to avoid any harsh scrubbing pads or abrasive cleaners. Sometimes, if something does stick a bit, a gentle soak with warm, soapy water for a few minutes works wonders before wiping it clean. And storage is crucial! To prevent those surface scratches that can degrade the non-stick coating, I always place a pan protector or a soft dish towel between my Always Pan and any other cookware when stacking them. This simple step can really make a difference in maintaining that aesthetic appeal and functionality. Finally, about the 'is it worth it?' question after a year of daily use. Despite the minor wear and tear (which is honestly expected with almost any non-stick pan), I still firmly believe my Always Pan is a fantastic investment. Its versatility, from frying perfectly golden eggs to baking a whole chicken as I showed, truly makes it a kitchen workhorse. The smart design details, like the spatula holder and the lightweight lid, add to the overall positive experience. If you prioritize thoughtful design, multi-functionality, and are willing to follow basic care instructions, then yes, this viral pan absolutely lives up to its hype and is worth considering for your kitchen.
