I am a theatre major with a concentration in performance. I am receiving a BA which means my theatre education is more well-rounded. Being a theatre major is a life-changing experience that goes beyond just studying scripts or performing on stage. One of the greatest aspects is the community you build alongside fellow students who share your passion. The friendships formed in this program become lifelong ties, as you experience challenges and triumphs together. Creatively, a theatre major keeps you on your toes. Each class offers new avenues to explore, from acting to design, and allows you to express yourself in ways you never thought possible. The rigorous curriculum ensures that students are always engaged and learning, whether through transformative performances or inspiring discussions. Additionally, being in NYC means regular exposure to Broadway shows, which serve as both inspiration and educational opportunities. Attending these productions allows students to analyze professional performances firsthand and learn what it means to shine on stage. Lastly, remembering to embrace every moment, from the thrill of performances to the shared joys of your peers, defines the theatre major experience. It's a rich tapestry of artistic growth, community support, and unforgettable memories.
