So …. I changed my major

At first, I went into college with a major in biology. When spring came, I realized that biology was something I did not want to do, at least not at the school I am at. I’m not trying to shame them but it was not for me. I learned I loved Comm here and wanted to do just that, but I wanted another major to go with it. So I took an intro to business class and loved it.

I’m going to have to do a lot to graduate on time with 2 majors, but it’ll be fun! And I would love to start posting on here more and maybe on YouTube some as well!

Part of me still wants to push through my dislike and get a degree in biology, but I can always go back to school I think. Also, i can own a farm without a degree. That is the main thing I want to do with animals, along with a show but that can wait. If people want to hear more about the process of working on my majors, I can tell some! Like if I enjoy it or what is my favorite/least favorite parts of it.

I hope to see you soon!

... Read moreChanging a college major can be a pivotal moment in a student’s life, often marking the transition toward something more aligned with personal interests and career goals. Many students start their college journey with a specific focus, such as biology, only to realize through exploration that their true passion lies elsewhere. For instance, communication and business offer versatile skills that can lead to diverse career paths, ranging from marketing to public relations. It’s essential to evaluate what excites and inspires you beyond the classroom. In making such transitions, students may face logistical challenges, especially when aiming to graduate on time with dual majors. However, this experience can also be invigorating, providing opportunities for personal and professional growth. Many educators encourage students to pursue areas that genuinely resonate with them, as this can lead to a more fulfilling educational experience. Engaging with the community through platforms like YouTube can offer additional support and insight, as students share their journeys, hurdles, and successes. Moreover, the journey doesn't have to end with formal education. Many individuals find creative ways to pursue their life goals, such as working with animals or starting a business, regardless of their academic qualifications. Ultimately, the lesson is clear: listen to your passions, adapt to your challenges, and share your experiences, as you never know who might benefit from your story.
