What one song got you through the hardest season?

When I was pregnant with my daughter. The pap showed abnormal cells. The doc was almost certain it was cervical cancer. Due to risk of bleeding, they couldn’t do a biopsy, so I needed to give birth first. This song by Alvin Slaughter was def instrumental in healing and surrender during this season.

Your eye is on the sparrow

And Your hand, it comforts me

From the ends of the earth

To the depths of my heart

Let Your mercy and strength be seen

You call me to Your purpose

As angels understand

For Your glory may you draw all men

As Your love and grace demands

And I will run to You

To Your words of truth

Not by might, not by power

But by the Spirit of God

Yes, I will run the race

Till I see Your face

Oh, let me live in the glory of Your grace

Watching your kids go through SQAseason is one of the hardest things as a parent
It’s heartbreaking to see them losing sleep, skipping meals, and carrying so much anxiety over a set of papers. The pressure being put on them right now feels incredibly unfair—we’re asking children to carry the weight of their entire future on their shoulders before they’ve even reached adulthood.
