… it's actually the hardest work
full disclosure: patience sounds boring to me.
I want results NOW. I want visible progress immediately. I want transformation to happen fast.
but I'm learning something. patience isn't just waiting around. it's actively showing up every day even when you see nothing.
that's powerful.
here's the balance I'm trying to figure out:
effort: show up, do the work, stay consistent
surrender: release control of when/how results appear
I can train hard. eat well. rest. but then I have to TRUST that my body knows what it's doing.
I can't force my muscles to grow faster through sheer willpower. I can't control the exact timing of transformation.
fitness culture tells us we can control everything if we just try hard enough. track every calorie. force our bodies into submission.
but that's not sovereignty. that's violence.
real patience is doing my part and trusting my body to do its part—in its own perfect timing.
→ balance doing with being
→ balance effort with surrender
→ show up and then let go
this is where fitness becomes spiritual practice. learning to trust divine timing while still doing the work.
