In my experience, it took about three days to finally get the perfect result. Initially, I underestimated the time required and felt frustrated when my hair wasn’t cooperating after 30 minutes. One useful tip I learned is to prepare your hair properly before styling—clean but not too slippery, so the buns hold better. Using some texturizing spray or dry shampoo can give the hair more grip. Another trick is sectioning the hair evenly and securing the buns tightly with pins or hair ties designed for thick hair. While working on my space buns, I also drew inspiration from the Star Wars aesthetic, which adds a cool and iconic twist to the style. It’s a fun way to connect with pop culture while experimenting with hairstyles. If you’re trying space buns for the first time, don’t hesitate to practice more than once and give yourself plenty of time. Sometimes, patience pays off, and you might get creative ways to personalize the look—like adding accessories or combining with other hairstyles. Lastly, maintaining the hairstyle throughout the day can be tricky, so carrying a small kit with pins and hairspray helps keep everything intact. Overall, though it took me several attempts, achieving the perfect space buns was rewarding and has become one of my favorite go-to hairstyles for casual or themed occasions.
