StrengthSpan Wisdom
Movement does not slow down randomly.
The brain is constantly choosing how to move based on efficiency, predictability, and repetition.
Fast movement requires more energy and more precise timing.
Slower, controlled movement is easier to repeat and carries less risk.
Over time, the brain starts to favor those controlled patterns.
As that happens, fast movements are used less often.
This changes what the body maintains.
Fast muscle fibers are responsible for quick, powerful actions.
If they are used less, the body reduces how easily they are activated.
The result is not a loss of strength first.
It is a change in how quickly that strength can be used.
Movements start more gradually.
Speed builds later.
That is what feels like “slowing down.”
The body is not reacting to age.
It is adapting to how you move.
