MY PREGNANCY/BIRTH STORY 🤍

- December 24, 2022 was the day I found out I was pregnant, I was shocked and in denial I just didn’t want to believe it because it was almost 3 years of trying and I thought I was infertile the whole time I thought I wasn’t ever going to have kids but my boyfriend on other hand he was happy and he was ready to tell his mom and the rest of the family meanwhile me I didn’t get to tell no one at the time I wasn’t on speaking terms with my family after my mom passed away in 2020. I had my first ultrasound at 10 weeks. Couple weeks pass and I was already planning a gender reveal and I’ve always wanted girl but I was still gonna be happy if it was a boy. on march 5th was my gender reveal and it was a girl ! I was so happy and I started to cry because I wished my mom was there for that moment. When I reached my 39 weeks I was experiencing fluids coming down not too much though and mild pain but I believe I had an appointment for a cervical check and I was 2 cm for like 4 days since 08/07/2023-08/11/2023 and so then 08/11/2023 it was afternoon I was on the phone with a doctor talking about what I’m experiencing while I’m on the way to the hospital fast forward im at the hospital and I got a room quick the doctor checked me if I was dilated and he checked I was 2cm and I was thinking going back home to keep dilating on my own but he told me it was a risk for me and the baby to get an infection so I didn’t have any other option they started me on some medication and then I got to sent to the labor delivery room. I was experiencing pain and I wasn’t able to urinate it felt like a sting or a burn so then I requested the epidural as much as I wanted to go natural I just couldn’t. Later on that night the anesthesiologist came in and put the epidural in me I didn’t feel nothing I was like half sleep but I was still conscious to where like I knew there was a nurse in front of me to make sure I wouldn’t fall forward 😂. I got the shivers and I fell asleep like around 6:50 I think my water broke and it was time nurse came in and getting me prepped to deliver when I tell you I couldn’t feel nothing half down I didn’t feel no contractions I was just getting told to push my legs were so numb I don’t even know if I teared when the doctor came in he delivered my baby and then I had to still push for the placenta to come out but I still couldn’t feel nothing lmao the only thing I felt was like a pinch I guess I teared inside so he was stitching me. At 7:18am my daughter was born 8lbs & 9oz & 21in 💘. I don’t even know if I even made any sense but that’s my pregnancy/birth story.

... Read morePregnancy is a beautiful yet sometimes challenging journey that many women go through. Understanding what to expect during pregnancy can help ease concerns and create a more positive experience. During the early stages, many expectant mothers feel a mix of emotions, ranging from excitement to anxiety, especially if previous attempts at conception have been difficult. It's not uncommon to feel a sense of disbelief when receiving a positive pregnancy test after a long journey of trying to conceive. The first ultrasound often marks a significant milestone, providing reassurance and a glimpse of the new life developing within. As the pregnancy progresses, planning for the baby becomes an exciting adventure, with gender reveals and nursery preparations, while also navigating physical changes and emotional shifts. Seeking support from healthcare providers and loved ones is important for a positive experience. Many women opt for epidurals during labor to manage pain, allowing them to remain present and engaged during the delivery process. The birth experience can vary greatly, highlighting the unique stories of each mother's journey. For many, the sight of their newborn is a moment filled with indescribable love and joy. Postpartum recovery, support, and the transition into motherhood are equally important aspects to navigate following birth. Engaging with community resources, sharing experiences, and seeking advice can enrich this transformative period, empowering new parents to cherish every moment with their little ones.
