BV symptoms to look out for 👀

Bacterial Vaginosis is super common & can be asymptomatic! BV is an overgrowth of bad bacteria in the vagina. If you do have symptoms, look out for these:

1. Fishy odor — this is a very distinct odor & can get worse with sex or during your period! The odor may not be fishy but just strong or unusual for you!

2. Burning & itching are common with BV! Your vulva may burn and itch plus sex can be painful. Burning with urination is common too.

3. Abnormal discharge is normal but look out for discharge that is unusual for you or that is grey or yellow/greenish.

If you notice changes with your body or symptoms that are out or your norm, go see a gynecologist! Getting tested is the best way to know for sure if you’re dealing with BV or another vaginal infection.
