Lifestyle changes for feminine health 🌸

my very first BV infection I took antibiotics which lead me taking them again bc it didn’t go away … and then again & again for 2 years straight 🫠

which lead me to getting crazy yeast infections & taking antifungals for 2 more years! By 2020 I had enough & knew something had to change …

To get these infections to stop I had to do the thing doctors never suggested, change my lifestyle!! My diet was the typical college student diet + my stress was bad. These two things are huge for gut & vaginal health!!

It took about a year to fully heal & not have any symptoms of infections like itching, irritation, etc. but all these changes really made a difference.

This is not medical advice, just what helped me 🤍

Hope this helps!!

To combat these issues, focus on a holistic approach by incorporating healthier foods. 1. **Dietary Changes**: Prioritize a balanced diet rich in whole foods, including fruits, vegetables, healthy fats, and quality proteins. Reduce refined sugars and processed foods, which can exacerbate gut inflammation. 2. **Stay Hydrated**: Proper hydration helps maintain your body's pH balance. Drinking enough water, along with electrolytes, supports gut and vaginal health. 3. **Manage Stress**: High-stress levels can disrupt hormonal balance and gut health. Engage in techniques like mindfulness, therapy, or setting boundaries with toxic relationships to improve your mental state. 4. **Probiotics**: Introduce a daily probiotic to promote healthy gut flora. Look for strains such as Lactobacillus acidophilus and rhamnosus, which are beneficial for maintaining vaginal health. 5. **Lifestyle Practices**: After sexual activity, shower and urinate promptly to help prevent infections. Wearing breathable, cotton underwear and changing out of wet clothes quickly can also minimize irritation. Prioritize your comfort by adopting these wellness habits for better feminine health.
