💇 10 Years Of My Hair Journey

2024/8/31 Edited to

... Read moreHey everyone! After sharing my 10-year hair journey, I wanted to dive deeper into some of the questions I often get about those really bold moves, like a buzzcut or going for wild colors. It's totally normal to feel a mix of excitement and nerves when you're contemplating a drastic hair change. I remember standing in front of the mirror, scissors in hand, thinking, "Am I really about to do this?" But honestly, those moments of brave transformation have often been the most liberating. Let's talk about the buzzcut, for example. While some might jokingly call it a 'goofy buzzcut,' for me, it was an incredibly empowering experience. After years of experimenting with long blonde, short brown, and even vibrant pink and green hair, buzzing it all off felt like hitting a reset button. It simplifies your routine dramatically, and surprisingly, it really highlights your facial features in a way you might not expect. If you're considering it, embrace the feeling of freedom and the confidence it can bring. It's not just a haircut; it's a statement. And what about those vibrant colors? My adventure with pink hair, then green hair, and even that silvery-blue phase, was all about playing with my identity and expressing different facets of myself. If you're inspired by something iconic and bold, perhaps even a 'Vegeta haircut' in spirit – meaning you want a style that's strong, unique, and unmistakably you – don't hold back. Whether it's crafting DIY bangs, trying out hime bangs, or committing to an entirely new color like my bright green or deep blue phases, research is key. Look into the upkeep, potential damage, and how to maintain the vibrancy. Sometimes, it's about finding that perfect shade of blonde or a funky green haircut that just clicks with your personality. For 'my leisure time hair,' it doesn't always have to be a huge commitment or a dramatic overhaul. Sometimes it's about finding those easy, fun styles that make you smile without much effort. This could be experimenting with temporary color sprays, putting your hair in playful pigtails (which I've done even with a buzzcut growing out, adding a froggy hat for extra fun!), or simply letting your natural hair texture shine. It's your hair, your rules, and it should bring you joy, especially during your downtime when you're just relaxing and being yourself. My biggest advice through all these drastic hair changes? Treat your hair like a canvas for self-expression. Don't be afraid to experiment, learn from each phase, and remember that hair always grows back. Each haircut, each color – from my earliest long blonde days to my latest hime bangs – tells a story about where you are in life. Embrace the journey and have fun with it!
