How documenting my fitness journey helped me grow
I’m a total Type A personality…I need to set tangible goals and have a specific plan on how to get there. If you’re wired the same way, this one’s for you. Documenting my fitness journey, through tracking my workouts, logging nutrition, and occasionally filming in the gym, has been one of the most helpful habits I’ve built.
First, it lets me see what’s working (or not). Whether I’m in a cut, a bulk, or somewhere in between, I can look back and pinpoint what actually moved the needle in my workouts, nutrition etc.
Second, it helps me track progress in my workouts and lifts. Numbers don’t lie…if I lifted 5 more pounds than last week or added a rep, I know I’m heading in the right direction.
And third, it gives me a chance to form check and see physical growth. Filming myself isn’t about vanity; it’s a tool. I can catch poor form before it becomes a habit, and I can actually see the changes that sometimes sneak up subtly.
If you love data, structure, and feeling like you’re in control of your goals, this is your sign to start documenting too!!

Documenting workouts? Sounds intense! I can barely remember to brush my teeth in the morning. 😂 But good for you, girl!
