Just a girl trying to be healthy#glutes ,snatched waist ☺️✌🏾
Hey everyone! I'm so excited to share more about my personal journey towards achieving my body goals. For me, it's not just about how I look, but truly about feeling strong, healthy, and confident in my own skin. When I started, my main focus was really on building up my glutes and working towards a more 'snatched' waist, which I know is a common goal for many of us gym girlies. Let's talk glutes first! I used to think endless squats were enough, but I quickly learned it's about variety and consistency. My go-to exercises now include hip thrusts (a game-changer, seriously!), Romanian deadlifts, and various lunges. I try to incorporate progressive overload, meaning I gradually increase the weight or reps to keep challenging my muscles. Form is everything, so watching videos and even filming myself occasionally helps ensure I'm targeting the right muscles. Don't forget about mind-muscle connection – really focusing on squeezing those glutes during each rep makes a huge difference! Now, for that 'snatched waist' dream! This is where I realized nutrition plays an even bigger role than I initially thought. You can do all the core exercises in the world, but if your diet isn't on point, it's tough to see those results. I've focused on eating whole, unprocessed foods, lots of protein to support muscle growth, and plenty of fiber. Hydration is also key – drinking enough water helps with bloating and overall digestion. For core work, I love planks (all variations!), Russian twists, and leg raises. It's not just about crunches; it’s about engaging your entire core to build strength and stability. Consistency is more important than intensity here; even 10-15 minutes of dedicated core work a few times a week can make a huge difference over time. Beyond the gym, I've learned that rest and recovery are just as crucial. My muscles need time to repair and grow, so I prioritize getting 7-8 hours of sleep each night. Listening to my body has become a priority; if I'm feeling overly tired or sore, I'll opt for an active recovery day like a light walk or some stretching instead of pushing myself too hard. This journey is definitely a marathon, not a sprint. There are days when motivation dips, but looking back at how far I've come and celebrating small victories keeps me going. Remember, everyone's body is different, and the goal is to be the healthiest and happiest version of *yourself*. Keep pushing, stay consistent, and enjoy the process!
