We bought a home! Pack with me📦📚
I know I just made a post organizing my book shelves but we're moving again! This time not into an apartment but somewhere we own! Although packing and moving is one of my least favorite things I cannot be more excited that it's for this reason. We've moved into and out of 3 different apartments in 3 years and while I loved our most recent one nothing beats where we are at now. My dog has 3 acres to run around. I have a larger kitchen to bake whatever I'd like. My fiance has a huge garage and barn where he can do all of the projects he wants in. I have so much room to build my garden. I can have my TV above whisper volume, blow dry my hair at night, use my stand mixer to bake cookies whenever I want and so much more because we no longer have to deal with neighbors sharing walls floors or ceilings. I have to get another book shelf and set my books up again and I'm so excited to do it. We have only been here 4 days so my house is so full of still unpacked boxes we need to do gymnastics to get around the places we haven't made paths but it's all worth it. We've been so busy between cleaning up the property, packing, moving, my 21st birthday, and my fiance starting a new job I've been slacking on posting and doing my blog. I know it's not going to slow down any time soon but I'm still going to try and be making content because I love doing it! We haven't announced it to everyone yet but I figure I can let you guys in🫣 Here's to new adventures!
Now let's talk about my book packing process. I try and put as many hard covers as I can in a suit case so it can just be rolled instead of carried. When I did this before I didn't have quite as many books but it still works. For boxes with soft covers I will only do them flat or upright so that I'm not putting stress on pages or spines. I've had books curl in on themselves before. Hard cover boxes I am okay with putting the spine down because they're more sturdy but never page first.
