🍗 Easy Teriyaki Chicken Recipe—one of my favorite dishes!

Ingredients

Chicken & Marinade

2 lb chicken thighs

1 tbsp cooking wine

2 tbsp soy sauce

1 tbsp sugar

Sauce

1 cup soy sauce

⅓ tbsp ginger paste

1 tbsp minced garlic

1 tbsp brown sugar

1 tbsp white sugar

1 tbsp honey

½ tbsp sesame oil

1 tbsp cornstarch slurry

Vegetables

½ onion (chopped)

½ green bell pepper (chopped)

Other

Oil for cooking

Instructions

- Rinse the chicken under cold water and pat dry.

- In a bowl, mix the chicken with cooking wine, soy sauce, and sugar. Let it marinate for 15 minutes.

- In a separate bowl, combine soy sauce, ginger paste, garlic, brown sugar, white sugar, honey, sesame oil, and cornstarch slurry. Set aside.

- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the marinated chicken and cook until about 80% done.

- Pour in the prepared sauce and let it simmer with the chicken.

- Add onions and green bell peppers. Cook until the chicken is fully cooked and the sauce thickens.

- Let it caramelize slightly for extra flavor (optional).

Serve hot—pairs surprisingly well with mac & cheese 😄
