Dubai Ice-cream bars
Oh my goodness, you guys! I seriously had to share my recent kitchen adventure because it turned out to be an absolute game-changer for my sweet tooth. I've been seeing all these gorgeous Dubai ice cream bars pop up everywhere, and honestly, I just couldn't stop thinking about them. That perfect crunch of chocolate shell, combined with creamy, cold ice cream inside? Pure bliss! So, I thought, why not try making my own? And let me tell you, it was so much easier and more satisfying than I ever imagined. It all started with a craving and a bit of research. I wanted that authentic feel, but with a homemade touch. The key, I quickly realized, was in the quality of the ingredients, especially the chocolate. You see, the magic of these bars really comes down to that satisfying snap when you bite into the outer layer. I opted for a good quality dark chocolate, but milk chocolate or even white chocolate would be amazing too, depending on your preference. First, I prepared my ice cream. You can definitely use your favorite store-bought vanilla or even a pistachio ice cream for that classic Dubai vibe. I went with a simple homemade vanilla bean ice cream because I love how it complements the rich chocolate. Once it was churned and ready, I pressed it into my ice cream bar molds. If you don't have specific molds, you can set the ice cream in a shallow pan, freeze it, and then cut it into bars, sticking a wooden stick into each one before freezing solid. This step is crucial – you want your ice cream bars to be rock hard! Now, for the fun part: the chocolate coating! This is where the magic happens. I took about 200g of my chosen CHOCOLATE and chopped it up finely. Then, I put it in a microwave-safe bowl and started MELTING Waves of deliciousness! I melted it in 30-second intervals, stirring well after each, until it was smooth and glossy. You want it to be melted but not too hot, otherwise, it will melt your ice cream too quickly. A little bit of coconut oil or vegetable oil (about a tablespoon per 200g) can help thin the chocolate slightly and give it that beautiful shine and quick set. This was a tip I picked up, and it truly makes a difference! Once my chocolate was perfectly melted, I got my frozen ice cream bars out. Working quickly, I dipped each bar into the melted chocolate, making sure to coat it completely. A quick tap against the side of the bowl helps remove any excess. The cold ice cream instantly chills the chocolate, causing it to harden almost immediately. This is the most satisfying part! Some people like to sprinkle chopped nuts, shredded coconut, or even a drizzle of contrasting chocolate on top before it fully sets. I tried a few with crushed pistachios, and they looked absolutely divine. Pop them back into the freezer for another 15-20 minutes to ensure the chocolate is fully set and the ice cream is firm again. And voilà! My very own Made Dubai ice cream bars were ready to enjoy. The feeling of biting into that crispy chocolate shell, followed by the creamy, cold ice cream, was just heavenly. It felt like a little piece of luxury I created right in my own kitchen. If you're looking for a fun, impressive, and incredibly delicious treat to make, I highly recommend giving these a try. They’re perfect for a hot day, a special dessert, or just when you need a little pick-me-up. Trust me, your taste buds will thank you!
