🍰 How to Make Tiramisu ✨

You’ll need:

• 6 egg yolks

• 3/4 cup sugar

• 1 cup heavy cream

• 8 oz mascarpone cheese

• 1.5 cups strong coffee or espresso (cooled)

• 1 pack ladyfingers (about 24)

• Cocoa powder (for dusting)

1. Make the sweet egg base

In a bowl, whisk together egg yolks + sugar over a pot of simmering water (double boiler method). Whisk constantly for about 5–7 minutes until thick and pale. Let it cool.

2. Whip the cream

In another bowl, beat heavy cream until stiff peaks form.

3. Mix mascarpone

In a third bowl, stir or beat mascarpone cheese until smooth.

4. Combine it all

Gently mix the mascarpone into the egg mixture, then fold in the whipped cream. This is your tiramisu cream!

5. Prepare coffee dip

Mix coffee (and liqueur, if using) in a shallow dish.

6. Dip the ladyfingers

Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee. Don’t soak—just 1–2 seconds per side.

7. Assemble

Layer the soaked ladyfingers in a dish (like 9x9”).

Spread half of the mascarpone cream on top.

Repeat with another layer of soaked ladyfingers.

Top with the remaining cream. Smooth the top.

8. Chill

Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours (overnight is best!).

9. Finish & serve

Dust the top with cocoa powder before serving.
