Day Six: 75 Soft Challenge

Day Six: 75 Soft Challenge

-75oz Water 💦

I’m glad that frequent bathrooms isn’t that much of a thing now. I am finding that I’m actually more thirsty. (?) Maybe I need to up my intake? Or it’s this darn humidity.

-7k Steps 🚶‍♀️

I went out for a run/walk earlier and another grueling workday of being on my feet! Thankfully the time is going fast for this shift. Tomorrow and then I’m free like a bird. I found this old running app I had in 2021 called ‘Run, Zombie, Run!’. It’s as if you’re getting chased by zombies and they track your distance! I think I’ll use it to train!

-Portion Control 🍱

I’ve been feeling more lethargic between meals. I feel like I’m missing a part of my meal to give me more energy. Not really sure. Hopefully next week my meals are more balanced! (I still feel satisfied though!)

-Read 30 mins 📖

I picked back up this spicy/romance book called ‘Hot Under his Collar.’ If you know, the Amazon Prime show ‘Fleabag,’ you can guess what this book is about. iykyk 👀

... Read moreThe 75 Soft Challenge is a popular lifestyle habit-building regimen focused on daily water intake, physical activity, nutrition, and mental relaxation through reading. On Day 6, the author reports consuming 75 ounces of water, taking 7,000 steps, practicing portion control, and reading for 30 minutes. Staying well-hydrated is essential for overall health, but it can be influenced by environmental factors such as humidity, which increases thirst and fluid loss through sweat. Experts recommend gradually increasing water intake if you feel thirstier or are physically active. Using fitness apps like “Run, Zombie, Run!” adds a fun motivational twist to walking or running routines, helping people stay engaged and track progress effectively. Walking 7,000 steps daily aligns closely with general health guidelines advocating for 7,000 to 10,000 steps to support cardiovascular and metabolic health. Portion control is a vital element in managing energy and maintaining a balanced diet, especially when feeling lethargic between meals. Incorporating balanced macronutrients—carbohydrates, proteins, and healthy fats—and hydration helps sustain energy levels throughout the day. Mindful eating and meal planning can help address feelings of tiredness and improve overall nutrition. Reading for 30 minutes daily offers a mental break, reducing stress and enhancing cognitive function. The author is reading “Hot Under His Collar,” a spicy romance novel by USA Today bestselling author Andie J. Christopher. Engaging with books fosters relaxation and personal growth, complementing physical health goals in challenges like this. By integrating hydration, movement, nutrition, and mental wellness, the 75 Soft Challenge promotes a sustainable, holistic approach to lifestyle improvement. For those considering this challenge, remembering to listen to your body’s signals, adjusting hydration and nutrition accordingly, and incorporating enjoyable activities can help maintain motivation and achieve lasting benefits.
