I want my kid to learn how he was born
I saw a video today where a mom let her older child stay in the delivery room when she gave birth. The kid held her hand, watched the baby come out. Some people said it was beautiful and honest. Others said it was too scary for a child.
I could not stop thinking about it. Part of me feels like it could teach kids where life really comes from in the realest way. But another part of me worries about fear, blood, pain, and if that moment could stay in their head forever.
Birth is powerful but it is also intense and messy. I honestly do not know what the right answer is.
Should I do this to my kid? Would you ever let your own child be in the room when you give birth? Why or why not?

I think it depends on the age, understanding, and maturity of the child.
