The decision to embark on this path, from 303.1 lbs, is about more than just numbers on a scale; it's about reclaiming health, energy, and confidence. One of the biggest game-changers for me has been truly understanding CICO – Calories In, Calories Out. It sounds simple, right? Eat less, move more. But it's so much more than just restricting. It’s about learning what fuels your body best and finding sustainable ways to manage your calorie intake. I started by tracking everything for a few days without judgment, just to see where I was really at. It was eye-opening! Then, I began making small, manageable adjustments. Think about swapping out sugary drinks for water, or adding an extra serving of veggies to your plate. These little changes add up significantly over time. It’s not about perfection, but consistency. Finding tools, whether an app or a simple food diary, that help you stay accountable without feeling overwhelmed, can make all the difference. Instead of focusing on the entire mountain to climb, breaking it down into smaller hills makes the journey feel achievable. Celebrate those mini-milestones! Even just getting into the pool and moving around can make a huge difference. The beauty is there are so many options – dancing, cycling, hiking, or even just taking the stairs instead of the elevator. The goal is consistent movement, not perfection, and finding what feels good for YOUR body. Beyond the numbers, this journey is also about a 'glow up' from the inside out. It's about self-care, building confidence, and feeling good in your own skin. Sometimes, that even extends to how you feel about your 'styles & deals' when shopping.
