Pros & Cons of Building a House ✨
I grew up with my parents building our forever house. And Then a year ago they built another house. So I have been through the house building process twice.
Building a house was something I thought I always wanted to do. In October of 2023 my husband and I started the process. Here are the pros and cons
Pros
You get to pick out your own lot You get to watch the whole process
You can customize it (pick our floor, tile, colors etc)
Its a brand new house
Most of the people in our neighborhood have kids around my sons age
Its our forever house
Everything is new, so low house maintenance You can decor how you want (it's a clean slate)
Cons
It can take at least 7 months to finish the build There is not much negotiation the price down We have to purchase our own W/D and fridge Weather can be a factor at times during the build Low grade craftsmen's ship and cheap items
You have to add in the lot price into the price of the house
It can get expensive to add on certain items
I love the building process and can't wait for our house to be done in March!
