Slay this next semester by planning ahead!

Does anyone else plan their college classes out in advance? I have to know exactly where I stand in my college journey—it keeps me organized and stress-free when registration rolls around. Plus, it’s so satisfying to see how close I am to finishing! By doing this, I can clearly see I’m on track to complete my classes by Fall 2025.

Here’s how I do it:

1️⃣ Find your degree plan: This is your roadmap to graduation! Your advisor should send you this , but you can easily find it on your schools website.

2️⃣ Highlight your progress: I use different colors to mark classes I’ve completed, classes I’m currently taking, and those I still need. This helps me visualize everything at a glance while also making it cute and fun! (Coral= Completed Blue= In Progress Pink= Future)

3️⃣ You can also do this in your notes if you don’t have an IPad or don’t want to do it on paper. I use different text styles to indicate classes I’ve completed, classes I’m currently taking, and those I still need (strike through = completed underline + blue = in progress pink= future)

Knowing exactly what’s ahead keeps me from feeling overwhelmed, and it’s so motivating to see how much I’ve already accomplished! I also use tools like my notes app or a planner to stay on track—it’s a game-changer.

Do you plan your classes like this, or do you prefer to figure it out as you go? I’d love to hear your approach! Let me know in the comments

... Read moreCollege class planning is crucial for success, especially when navigating complex degree requirements. A well-structured approach can significantly reduce anxiety during registration periods. Start by identifying your degree plan, which serves as a comprehensive guide throughout your academic journey. Many universities provide accessible resources online; reach out to your academic advisor if needed. Utilize color coding in your planners or digital apps to track completed, in-progress, and future courses. This visual method simplifies the monitoring of your progress and aids in creating a clear roadmap toward graduation. Students without access to digital tools can adapt this technique using different text styles in physical notes, ensuring that all important information is easily visible and categorized. Incorporating regular check-ins on your academic status can transform your college experience from daunting to rewarding. Whether through apps or traditional planners, staying organized helps maintain focus on your goals. Additionally, developing a consistent review schedule to assess your credits and path toward your degree not only sets you up for success but also instills motivation by highlighting your achievements. Don't hesitate to share your own planning techniques in the comments, as engaging with peers can provide new insights and strengthen your academic community.
